„It all begins with an idea, followed of a konzept and than everything flows into pictures to create reading and meaning.“

I’am working as a freelance designer and artist based in Hamburg in the field of visual communication. My work is focused on visual identities in print as well as the public space. My activities include corporate design, book and catalog design, web design and video.

My experiences are coming from many years of practice in local agencies and as an independent designer. I have trained as a repro photographer and graduated in fine arts from the HFBK Hamburg.

This book was published for the exhibition “Skin - Artistic Photography” at the Kunsthaus Hamburg in 2008. In a collaboration, a catalogue was designed to reflect various artistic works and positions in images and text. A layout and grid was developed, which gave a number of possibilities for the arrangement of textual and graphic elements so that a consistent look could be created. The typography and the idea were applied to the invitation card.

04   Opulente Figuren, Publication

05  Hospitality Design Hamburg, Corporate Design

I was commissioned to conceptualise and design a new image for an interior designer.
A new logo design was to be developed. On the first level, it should be based on the personality of the owner of the company and express it. On the second level, the strategic aims of the company should be communicated to the target group.

The values that the new image should carry or reflect are associated with modernity, timelessness, design, conciseness, personality and style.

Instead of a signet or icon, the repositioning is symbolised by a word mark. Since typography has its own characteristics, it was used as a stylistic device.

The book was sealed by exclusively printed labels.

In relation to the production of the prepress reproductionfolie, a transparent film similar to lithographic film was printed as an index, which was enclosed as a loose inlay. The inside pages are copies and originals and designed by students of the HFBK Hamburg.

Each artist was given space and area to design and present her work for a limited period of time. This resulted in various combinations of works and readings. This was done by designing and building a long wall-filling lounge suit and large presentation table for the artistic works on display. The ceiling lighting was downgraded as a reading light, the windows were covered with UV protection film, the reading area was carpeted. There was also an area for a timed performative tea ceremony. 13 Im Zentrum der Zerstreuung, Audio Performance Public Space

The audio performance "Allure" took place in the promenade and expensive shopping district Neuer Wall. Under the motto "In the centre of distraction", participants were given headphones with a text and instructions spoken by me in the form of a poem, for a walk in front of the shop windows of LV and Gucci. This happened simultaneously via a free radio station.
The participants became actors and models, drawing attention to themselves and creating a new stage.
